The University of Washington and the state legislature are looking for a way to meet the higher education needs of Skagit,
Island, and Snohomish counties.
They have narrowed down their choice for where to build a new campus to four sites and only one of them is centrally located
and within reasonable distance of all three counties.
North Snohomish county is the ideal choice for the home of the new UW North and you don't have to take our word for it.
The state legislature asked for a study on how to best meet the education needs of Skagit, Island, and Snohomish counties
for the next two decades and beyond.
The study, "Assessment of the Higher Education Needs of Snohomish, Island, and Skagit Counties Area" focused on several critical
factors to determine the best site locations and it is clear that North Snohomish comes out best.
